19/4/17 Lough Currane was on the quiet side in the Salmon department, but the same couldn’t be said on the Sea Trout department with two cracking Sea Trout caught. So lets get to the Sea Trout action. We start in the C&R fly department, local angler Mr. Martin Lanigan O’Keeffe, while fly fishing with is Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy of www.fishingwithdom.com caught fine 5 lbs. Sea Trout and just for the record that’s the first Sea Trout recorded caught on the fly this season. Now we head for the hired out boat and trolling department of watervilleboats@gmail.com Fish of the day goes to Northern Angler Mr. Andrew Wishart, who caught a cracker of a specimen Sea Trout of 6 ½ lbs. Wind W veered at times NW with reasonable cloud at times. Yesterdays weather, maximum air temperature 12.4.c.
