17/6/19

Keith
17/6/19 All fly and C&R Salmon headlines today come from the North Shore and the Bungalow, so straight to the action. Currane fly angler Mr. Keith Francis of the UK and fishing out of www.butlerarms.com caught and released a fine 7 lbs. Salmon, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of www.flyfishingatloughcurrane.com  and their photos tells their story. Talking of photos if you have been reading the No Spin No Fly’s Zone you would have seen that the Donal O’Neil fishing party and fishing out of www.butlerarms.com had a great weekend of fishing and here are their photos and their report on their Fishing and their stay at www.butlerarms.com and of course their Gillie’s. Donal asked me to add a bit of magic to his report, well Donal the only bit of magic I can add to your first class report and photos is by spelling your Surname correctly as you can see in my Note I failed miserably in my duties and on that note its over to you on the No Spin No Fly’s just Facts zone so take it away and I quote, Hi  Vincent,
O'Neil Party in full swing
Donal O'Neill and his guests had some nice fishing between Thursday and Saturday on the Butler Pool and the lake.
First in the striking zone was Graham Kennedy with a fresh grilse from the butler pool weighing 5lb on Thursday evening. Gillie Mikey O'Sullivan.
Fishing on Friday was good for Donal himself with a 3lb and 4lb sea trout in two successive drifts with Bob Priestly in the afternoon.
David Morrissey landed a fine 13.5lb Salmon with his gillie Dominic McGillicuddy which caused for great celebrations when it was produced for photos in the fisherman’s bar in the Butler Arms Hotel that evening.
Padraig Durkan fishing with his Gillie Mike, landed a lovely fresh 4lbs. Grilse. On Saturday, fishing with his gillie Dominic McGillicuddy, Donal O'Neill also landed a fine 6lb sea trout drifting.
Flies that caught included silver rat, the rebel and a red arsed green peter.
Final word of thanks to Paula, Louise and the team at the Butler Arms Hotel for an amazing weekend of top notch service once again. Today’s SW with reasonable cloud cover. Yesterdays weather, maximum air temperature 15. 7c.
