10/9/19

Alan
10/9/19 We start in the backdate department and my apologies to Currane fly angler Mr. Alan Claffey from Athlone and for good reason, Alan caught his first ever Salmon on the fly on the World Famous Butler Pool and at www.watervillegolflinks.ie on the 31st of August and as you can see by the photo there’s nothing like your first Salmon on the fly and may it be the first of many and again my apologies for this delay and my excuse is  I haven’t got one, except that I failed miserably in my duties. Now back to today’s fine Sea Trout action from the North Shore and the Bungalow. We head out with local Guide Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com and his guests, UK Currane Fly Anglers, caught 11 Sea Trout ranging from Juniors up to 3 ½ lbs. In Neil’s hired out Boat department, a party of two boats caught 18 Sea Trout between them. Wind SW fresh, bright first thing this morning, come midday it was overcast for the rest of the day and rain this evening. Yesterdays weather, maximum air temperature 15. 3 c.
