11/8/14 Straight to the backdate and the Apology department, on the 31/7/14 I reported that renowned fly angler Mr. Martin Coveney of Cork, caught his fine Grilse on the troll, this was obviously wrong, being a fly angler, I got my facts wrong and his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com gave me one hell of a verbal diplomatic thrashing for not reading his texts properly. All I can say is I stand corrected, even though I am sitting down and I hope this puts the record straight. Now back to the future on Lough Currane, it was a wild day with a strong WNW blowing and very little to show for it, just the odd Junior was caught. Wind as already stated with heavy showers.
