30/8/14

 Ms. Yingchun Dong
30/8/14 Straight to the action and a bit of history in the making I believe and for good reason, Ms. Yingchun Dong of Dalian/Dayuqua China, caught a fine 7 lbs. Salmon on the troll and went a step further by showing her fly fishing skills in C&R department and it wasn't long before Yingchun, caught herself a fine 2 ½ lbs Sea Trout and finished her day with 4 Juniors and in the words of her Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of www.flyfishingatloughcurrane.com  all I did was net and admired. Now to the total Sea Trout fly department, Mr. Mark Doorman was in excellent form again with 9 Sea Trout, ranging from Junior Class up to 3 lbs. While fishing with his Gillie Mr. Bob Priestley. Mr. Andy Wishart and Mr. Gavin Wishart, caught 2 Trout on the drift, while fishing with their Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy of www.fishingwithdom.com Mayo may have lost the Gaelic football semi final today against the Kingdom of Kerry but at least the Co Mayo Westport Salmon and Sea Trout Blogers were in magnificent form again in the fly department with 10 Sea Trout ranging from Junior Class up to 3 ½ lbs. Wind NW light with reasonable cloud cover.
