September 15, 2025: Despite challenging conditions on Currane, one salmon was successfully caught by trolling, with several trout also taken while drifting. On the River Inny, catch and release (C&R) efforts proved fruitful; yesterday, a single angler released two fine salmon, and today the same angler returned to release three additional salmon. The Inny has consistently produced strong results over the past few weeks, including the successful release of juvenile trout. Today's Waterville fishery weather report states that winds were strong from the WNW, reaching gusts up to 69 km/h, accompanied by heavy showers. Yesterday's recorded rainfall totalled 25.6 mm, with a maximum air temperature of 17.5°C and two hours of sunshine.
