September 16, 2025: Currane anglers reported some great fishing activity. The lake level is higher than it was during the winter, with more rain forecasted and rain currently ongoing. There were five Currane boats on the water, resulting in at least one salmon caught, one lost at the net, and several brown and sea trout caught; one boat recorded 12 trout, the largest weighing 2 lbs. On the C&R river Inny, reports indicate that one angler on the lower Inny experienced successful fishing, with all fish released safely. For the Waterville fishery forecast, wind was variable from moderate to fresh, shifting through West, WSW, SW, SSW, and S, with good cloud cover. Yesterday’s weather included 0.9 mm of rainfall, a maximum air temperature of 15.5°C, and 4 hours and 9 minutes of sunshine.
