September 24, 2025: To provide a brief retrospective update, several fish were reported caught on the Commeragh River yesterday. As the Commeragh is a classified river, further specific details are withheld. Today, fishing activity moved downstream to Lough Currane, where anglers experienced successful trout fishing while drifting, with numerous trout rising to the fly. Although no salmon were landed during trolling, one salmon was lost near the net. A total of six boats participated, with the most productive fly-fishing located along the south side and near Church Island. Conditions included a cold, gentle to moderate southerly wind and reasonable cloud cover. The previous day's weather recorded no rainfall, a maximum air temperature of 15.8°C, and 7 hours and 7 minutes of sunshine.
