September 19, 2025: Following yesterday's rainfall, the water level at Lough Currane continues to rise. Despite these conditions, at least one angler caught or released a fine salmon, other Currane anglers had several brown trout and sea trout, some of which were caught via drifting and trolling techniques. Moving on to the River Inny, an Inny farmer reported that several anglers landed notable fish on the lower section of the river during today's catch and release activities. The Waterville Fishery weather today featured variable light to gentle winds mainly from the WSW, occasionally veering SW, WSW, W, and WNW, with substantial cloud cover. Yesterday’s recorded rainfall totalled 11.6 mm, the maximum air temperature reached 17.3°C, and there was no sunshine observed.
