18/9/2025

September 18, 2025: There was only one boat operating on the southern side, which encountered notable trout activity before concluding operations due to challenging weather conditions. Winds from the SSW reached fresh to strong levels, with gusts up to 65 km/h, prompting an early end to the day. It is likely that anglers moved to the catch-and-release section of the River Inny, where, according to the Inny Farmer’s report, both the upper and lower stretches experienced productive fishing. Weather at the Waterville fishery included sustained strong winds accompanied by heavy cloud cover and frequent showers throughout the day. The previous day recorded 1.6 mm of rainfall, a maximum air temperature of 16.8°C, and 1 hour 9 minutes of sunshine.
